About the Parafernalia Revolution
The Parafernalia Revolution ballpoint pen has a unique triangular design. Designed by Sergio Carpani, the Revolution has three anodized aluminum rods encase the ballpoint refill making a comfortable pen to hold and write with. Hand assembled from 31 pieces in Italy, each Parafernalia Revolution ballpoint pen comes ready to use in a triangular cardboard gift box. The pen also comes with a 4000 S700 A3 Black Chrome-plated refill designed for the Parafernalia Revolution ballpoint pen. The refill is designed with a steel toe and medium writing tip.

Unique design, it has three distinct rods that run the length of the pen. You can actually see the inside and see the refill. It has a metal tip. When you extend the refill, that just simply comes through the end of that metal tip, and then it has three screws on each end that hold those metal rods together and a push button at the opposite end of the writing end to extend and retract the refill on the ballpoint pen. Pretty simple mechanism of how it works, pretty basic design, but very unique. It has a small clip there on the one side to put it into your pocket. It looks a little awkward, but it really feels well in my hand. You can hold it in all different angles, works really well.

I love the style of this pen. It is quite functional, but i have one medium and one minor concern with it. The medium concern is that the beautiful colored matte finish seems too easy to inadvertently scrape away. I do try to be very careful with my good pens, but occasional minor mishaps have left the lovely barrel scraped down to the silvery base color in spots. This pen would be pretty much perfect if there was some sort of sturdy matte protective finish over the pen color (just my opinion).
The very minor concern is that the pen does not make any noticeable click when the pen point is extended and retracted. This is a very minor point of personal preference, and not something that in any way impacts the performance of the pen.
Overall, I still think it's quite a handsome and functional pen, and worth its purchase price, especially if it can be found on discount.

This pen's unique design is what attracted me. It is minimalist to the nth degree. If you are a collector of pens, buy it. Also, the service provided by Pen Chalet is excellent.
