About the Delta Sentinelesi Indigenous People
The Delta Sentinelesi Indigenous People fountain pens are a stunning limited edition collection. The beautiful release celebrates the extraordinary story of an Indigenous People, the Sentinelese, an uncontacted tribe living on North Sentinel Island in the Indian Ocean. Strongly tied to their history, culture, tradition, and religion, the Sentinelese are one of the most isolated and enigmatic ethnic groups in the world. The Delta Sentinelesi Indigenous People fountain pen is a handcrafted work featuring an exquisite and intriguing combination of materials, colors, and finishes. The colors reflect the visions of the places seen when approaching the island of North Sentinel: sky, sea, earth, and forest.
The new release is part of the collaborative journey that began in 2003 when Delta partnered with Milanese architect Francesco Rienzi to begin a fascinating journey to discover the indigenous populations around the world who escape public attention. Each pen is a tribute to the art, spirituality, and resistance of the extraordinary Sentinelesi people with the intention of sharing a message of respect and awareness.
Made of high-quality resin paired with gold-plated trim, each Delta Sentinelesi Indigenous People fountain pen uses a piston filling system and is fitted with a 14KT gold nib. The Delta Sentinelesi Indigenous People pen clip is inspired by the rudimentary weapon the men use to hunt. Small metal parts on the pen are 24-carat gold plated. The fountain pen is equipped with a 14k gold nib engraved with the geographical shape of the island. The pen uses a piston filler mechanism and is a numbered, limited edition limited to 388 pieces worldwide.
The Delta Indigenous People North Sentinel fountain pen's 14-karat solid gold nib is available in varying nib sizes: extra fine, fine, medium, broad, stub 1.1, extra fine, and fine flex. The pen's fixed piston filling system is built in the Delta workshop. (Also available in Rollerball).
